Demi Lovato

‘I can’t believe none of us saw how unhappy Demi was back then’

I’m so tired of reading comments like that. And I see them all the time, everywhere. I really don’t know if it’s just all these other people who are stupid mother fuckers or if I’m just smarter than everyone else.

And even more it’s bothering me when these same people tweet Demi saying how she helped them get over their ED or cutting or something else. Like you actually went trough that shit and still don’t see when someone else is having those problems?

I don’t know if you weren’t Demi fans back then, but I sure as hell do know that talking about her problems has been around for years. Having written and read a lot of fanfiction for years, I’ve read aboout thousand different stories of Demi’s eating disorders, being bipolar (even before she knew she was), cutting, drug problems etc. I’ve even written bunch myself. Not saying all of us _knew_ what was going on with Demi, but we did have some sort of idea.

The day Demi went to treatment I woke up and saw the news and I started crying, I cried for hours because I was so relieved that she finally got some help for her problems. To be honest before that the only time she looked even close to happy was when she was with Joe.

Actually, people who’ve known me for years, they know that I didn’t used to like Demi at all. I was pissed that she was acting all happy and Disney princess when clearly she wasn’t good. First of all WE ALL saw the pictures of her cutting, the fact that she actually always looked way too skinny for me and just the way she fake smiled in every interview. Kind of how you can see when Miley is giving out her real smile in interviews or when she’s faking it.

But anyway, pretty much I don’t think those people who are tweeting and saying things like “how did we not see her problems” I really hope you’d stop using the word WE and start using the word I. And the answer is probably because you actually didn’t give a shit about Demi before she went to treatment.

Anyone who heard the song “Believe In Me” would have known she wasn’t alright.
